Reservations & Cancellations

Our facility is usually filled to capacity during any Holiday.  That means having more employees to take care of the pets that are here.  I am amazed at the number of people who don't feel the need to call and cancel their reservations when their plans change.  I am amazed at the number of people who think calling to cancel on the day they are scheduled to arrive is okay. It amazes me the total lack of consideration that people have for the people they do business with.

As a business owner or simply as a person doing business with anyone, I don't understand how difficult it is to take a moment to cancel a reservation.  If you make an appointment with your doctor or your hairdresser / barber, or even your groomer most people do take the time to call to cancel when they see they can't keep it or their plans have changed.  I know I do.  When I make an appointment, I do try to keep it or at the very least call within 24 hours prior to cancel or reschedule.   This will allow that doctor, hairdresser, or groomer to put someone else in my time slot and hopefully not lose any money.  It is simply the right thing to do.  This also causes prices to increase when anticipated revenues are not maintained.

When people call to make reservations for a holiday we always explain that we are closed on the "Holiday" and advise our arrival and departure times.  I really appreciate people making reservations in advance, and I realize they can sometimes forget they have made them.  But then again, there are those who don't seem to care that you are "closed" on a Holiday and think they should be allowed to drop off or pick up anyway.  When we are "Closed" that doesn't mean no one is here taking care of the animals.  It means simply that no pets are arriving or departing on that day.  It means that we don't  have the office open to answer phones or have the computer up and running.  It means we can spend more time doing what we do to take care of your pets.

PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF THE PEOPLE YOU DO
BUSINESS WITH.    IT COSTS THE BUSINESS MONEY WHEN YOU DON'T
CANCEL YOUR RESERVATIONS.
